| Why does V2 in the "Guard Mode" dance when I make a noise?? Should he not sound the inturder alert....this happens when I come close to him in the Guard Mode...Is there a way to program back to the default "intruder alert Stauts"...? All answers will be appreciated...!! |

dana,
Welcome to the forum!
When my Roboraptor reacts in Guard mode, he roars, and then wiggles a bit, and then roars again.
What does yours do? |

Robert:
When my Robo is in Guard mode and disturbed by movement he states:
"intruder alert" and the continues on with noises like a police siren. However if I make a noise in guard mode, he perfroms the dance routine. I personally like the intruder alert response much better, and would prefer for him to respond to both movement and sound with the "intruder alert" actions.... |

dana,
Whoops! I was so busy answering Roboraptor questions I gave you a Roboraptor answer!
The Robosapien V2 in Guard mode will use any programs created for the Sound sensor trigger or the Vision sensor trigger. You may have on purpose or accidentally entered a program for Sound or Vision triggering and that's what is playing when he alerts you in Guard mode.
To clear the Sound program:
* Press SHIFT-1 + SHIFT-2 + a to enter Sound mode programming.
* Press SHIFT-1 + SHIFT-2 + [] to clear the Sound program. ([] = the Stop button).
* Press SHIFT-1 + SHIFT-2 + x to exit programming mode. Your Robosapien V2 should say "Program memory empty".
To clear the Sound program:
* Press SHIFT-1 + SHIFT-2 + b to enter Vision mode programming.
* Press SHIFT-1 + SHIFT-2 + [] to clear the Vision program. ([] = the Stop button).
* Press SHIFT-1 + SHIFT-2 + x to exit programming mode. Your Robosapien V2 should say "Program memory empty".
Now he should do the old default program when you put him in Guard mode and there is an alert.
If that doesn't work (it should) then if you don't mind losing any programs you created for Sound or Vision triggers or from "puppet mode", there's an easy way to reset the robot and clear all programs. Just remove the batteries for a short while and put them back in. |

Just want to say thank you for the Guard Mode fix. I had a similar problem but in my case RS2 was constantly in pick up something off the floor mode. After your series of remote shifts and letter choosing, the Guard Mode reacted to every passing move.
Thanks again and continue the good RS and RS2 work. |

Thanks.
I have a question regarding the mod for RS2s feet... the lead plates... will they help him walk better? See... when he walks backwards with hands to his side... he walks great... but when moving forward he seems to have some trouble. I have wall-to-wall carpeting but ironically enough RS2 has no issue with the carpet when walking backwards but does when walking forward. Will the lead plates actually make him walk better?
Thanks again for any assistance you may provide.

Greetings:
Remember, the V2 will store a preprogrammed sequence when in guard mode. If you have programmed your V2 and then turned him off, he will retain the sequence. I have mine 'fart' and then dance when he senses an intruder.
