i have my roboraptor roaming around in my room when i am infront of the Mac. But i noticed, if i just turn it on and put it into roam mode, it keeps on attacking my backpaks and the carpet i roled up to make space among other things. So i wondred if it would behave different if i put it in playful befor making it roam freely ?

JanPhilip,
I'm not sure. My guess would be no since Free Roam mode essentially is a separate mode of it's own.
But, I'll try some tests later tonight.
Anybody else tried any experiments on setting the mood before entering free roam mode?

In fact, the moods DO affect the demo/roam mode. I've tried, and if you put it on playful mood before the roming, it'll just avoid it or maybe just make a sound. In hunting mood it will bit at it and occasionally bump into it, and on cautious mood, it's back away. I hope that helps |

raquaz,
Excellent! I didn't know that and can't wait to try it myself tonight. Thanks for the correction. |

DEMO mode is always the same. Begins with bite, tear, move head to its left side, do the wiggle dance, etc.
ROAM mode changes according to mood. The sounds and movements are different. You'll only get the awesome looking stalking motion in hunter mood (which you can recreate by putting the RR in speed 1 walking and move head clockwise/counterclockwise twice while its walking). You'll only get the Incredibly Happy Dino Dance while in playful mood (a definate must see ). And cautious mood has its own particularities as well. |

| Umm...this is where I think a little bit of confusion has been caused by some mixed up terms. I usually refer to the "happy dino dance" as something that happens during the Free Roam mode in playful mood. It is very comical and you have to wait for a few min of free roam before the RR will do it. It cannot be triggered by the remote, but Roschler was thinking about coming up with a comptuer prog to trigger it remotely. The wiggle dance happens when werewolfspirit noted, when initiating playful mood. |
