Round 2:

http://www.robosapien.fr/roboreptile/index.html

Some first impressions: AWESOME (sums it up).

-At the beginning of the video, the roboreptile does its turning while remaining in place sort of gig. Looks kinda weird at first until you realize it's turning towards its right. It seems to do it by alternating feet movements while lifting up the opposite side's paw.
-Then it starts to move backwards. The really cool part seems to be that it first gets up on its toes and arches its rear end upwards a little bit before moving slowly and quietly backwards.
-Next, I think it's supposed to be moving forwards (on fast mode perhaps?) while still on all four feet.
-Hopping looks very neat. Can it jump?
-Bipedal mode was very surprising. Looks to be a little faster than roboraptor in 3rd speed mode.

It's cool but I'll probably still get Pleo.
If I have enough money after I buy Pleo I might get Roboreptile.

Aww man, it won't let me see it. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait until it comes out in stores and I can buy it...or at least until someone puts another video of it here. LOL.

They are both impressive in their own ways.
Haha, though if you pitted them against each other, I don't think it would be too difficult to surmise which one would win.

Get a roboreptile around summertime, then get the Pleo during winter. Smile

Thanks for posting that roschler. Turns out I just needed to download something in order for the video to show. (When I first played it, only the sound came, but I downloaded what I needed and it came up)

The roboreptile looks awsome! Imagine the things you could do with this? Better start thinking of possible projects everyone. LOL! At least I might be able to do a little something because we are going to study electronics and electricity on science soon (maybe tomorrow or next week), and I might be able to start something in the summer with whateven I have then. Ok, I got to go now, snowboarding is on on the olympics and I have to watch. Snowboarding is one of my favorites!

The tail seems to drag a bit on the ground when it is in bi-pedal mode. It seems to be used for balance and support, but wouldn't this cause unnecessary wear and tear on the tail?
