They have more manuals up too. The macro editor has an add conditionals button. I'd sure like to know what list of conditionals there are.
Is that the full version of the software? I hope so. I want to see what it can do. |

I have downloaded the file and tried to install it.
It needs something what is called MSDN. I think this software is on the CD deliverd with the RS Media.
I did read the read the tread Roschler did speak about in the other topic.
I must say that is far above my head really. Never the less it was very intresting to read. Accoording to some reactions in that forum it all seems to be promising.
Roschler if you read this topic i have a question for you, because you seem to know a lot of the technical things. I did read all, but what does it all mean for a non technician?? I did understand that there are some changes made inside the RS media. Can you tell us something about that???
Thanks in advance
I can hardly wait fot its arrival |

| I downloaded the software and it works. You need to make sure you install the .NET framework. You can get it free from microsoft's website. |

Got it working too
I did try some things but when i turn the head i see the body in an angle of 90 degrees sometimes. When i keep the head turning to max left or right it is ok.
It is nice to get a peak what will be and have an idea what voice files are in the RS Media.
It looks promising really. |

I noticed that the very last action was not showing up until I added one more action on the end that really didn't do anything. I was able to make a dance routine. Pretty cool.
I really hate the voicefiles. IMO RSV2's voice has more personality and is more professional. Thank God we can change them.
I didn't see the macro editor in the menu anywhere. I wonder if that's on the original CD? I'll have another look at it.
It looks like you can have sensory input in your scripts. Hopefully you can put a timer on the sensor scan and make him say "nothing here" if he sees nothing in a given interval or "is that my ball?" if he sees red. I hope they improved his vision. It would be cool if he could "identify human" without putting your hand right in front of his face and having the right light. |

IT is really cool. I did see the macro menu.
Go to the Personal Editor. There is a button called macro button. It is down the main frame with all the file names. In the left side.
This is pretty cool really. I was trying some things there as well. You ad audio files there and you can set the RS MEdia to Track Human in Long IR
Than ad a audio file and make a pict than show it ad audio file.
If it cant see you, you can use an other path. But i think there is a limit to these action. Software isn't difficult, when doing some stuff it shows how it works along the way.
Looking the the program( indeed the voice files arent that swell) you can let the bot preform a one man show really completed animated with movent. That will consume a lot of time but it is really awsome.
Im only thinking of a way to get good voice files on my computer. Without background noises. Or maybe even Movie Quotes.
I'll be back. |

| You could probably download some audio bits from the internet. I was thinking it would be cool to make him into Darth Vader or C3PO. My son and I have a cool idea to play a trick on his mom using my sons voice. This is going to be fun. |

Yes really cool:) Yes, i m already looking arround for these kind of files. The options are unlimited. What do think of south park or the simpsons?
Well about using own voice can make hillarious situations at home too:)
I m planing on that as well.
If i listen to Mark Tilden he said in the interview on superstreng that downloading personalities from the internet would be great. So he could listen to a joke in a diffrent language.
Where that will be time will tell. MAybe on Wowwee it self?? |

I think what he means is we will all share the personalities we create and post them for download.
They could potentially offer other personalites on their website for download but I look more to the community for that.
Also if you get an extra memory card you could have personalities on different cards and swap them quickly. I believe the RS Media uses one of those standard square memory cards that you put in digital cameras. |

roschler,
At this point I really want one but I'm a bit scared of the price. I may wait until Jan or Feb when the prices on things usually drop. I hope the Aussie price is way inflated and ours is cheaper. If the price is more in the $300 range I may get one at Christmas. Are you getting one?
I just saw that Debenhams website will beoffering RS Media for £299.99. Reported at Tech Digest
299.99 GBP United Kingdom Pounds
= 565.073 USD United States Dollars |

Talonclaw,
I did preorder the RS Media for 365 euro's including shipment.
The price on Amazone.de is 349 euro. 1 GBP is 1.5 euro. 1 euro is 1,25 dollar ast the moment??
I agree that the prices will drop after some while. I think near the 300 euro's and lower after 6 months or so. Than it has to be seen what will happen IF the V3 will be produced. MAybe that time the prices will drop where the V2 is right now
I will wait what will happen with the personalities. Like you i prefer the community as well.
Roschler, will you get one too?? |
